Shelley Mascia graduated from the State University of New York at New Paltz in 2004 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Writing and Public Relations. She was an editorial assistant on Long Island, NY for “The Pennysaver” for three years before moving to Southern Maryland. Since moving to Maryland, she worked as a journalist (fulfilling a childhood dream), taught in the public-school system, proofread for a junk mail company, tutored, and freelances for several different indie publishing companies. She currently works as an editor for the HJF Foundation For the Advancement for Military Medicine, editing blog posts and articles.
She received the Windom Editor’s Choice Award in 2017 and 2018. She is one of the recommended editors for the Independence Authors Book Experience, which is held every year in New Jersey. Her clients can be found on Amazon and on Goodreads.
When she is not editing, she can be found digging in her garden, chasing her two young children, and traveling in the summer. One day, she hopes to visit all the birthplaces of her literary heroes.
