What are your payment plans?
I get paid through Paypal. I offer four different payment options and I work within your budget.
Payment one: First half up front as a deposit with the manuscript, second half upon completion.
Payment two: First half up front as a deposit with the manuscript, second half divided up into agreed upon monthly payments.
Payment three: Smaller, agreed upon deposit, then the second larger half divided by monthly payments.
Payment four: Chapter by chapter-where you send me a couple of chapters at a time and pay by that word count.

WHat is your turnaround time?
My turnaround time depends on the length of the project and the client's deadline. Academic papers and resumes take precedent.
What is your background?
I have been a freelance editor for eight years. Before that, I was employed as an editor on Long Island for the Pennysaver, a substitute teacher, written documents for the Department of Education in DC, and a proofreader for a Direct Mail company. I am the in house editor for Cosby Media Productions, the Editor in Chief for ZGP magazine, the editor for a comic book company in Australia, and I freelance for several other indie publishing companies. I currently work for the HJF Foundation, where I edit articles and blog posts for military professionals. I have a degree in Public Relations and Creative Writing.
What does your fee Entail?
My fee entails editing as if I am in your demographic; what would "I" as your reader like to see. I edit line by line, check for grammar, spelling, character inconsistency, etc. I am your editor from beginning, middle, and after the project is done. Meaning, you can ask questions at any time. I am also available to bounce off ideas. I will also answer any questions on a big edit, if you don't like something, I will explain why I changed it. I assist with your synopsis and your query letter. I have been a journalist, a substitute teacher, an editorial assistant, and a proofreader.
Sample Edits
I also offer a five page sample edit (just not of the first chapter), so you can decide if we would work well together within your vision. I would rather my authors be happy knowing their baby is in good hands, than worry endlessly during the editing process. It takes a lot of time and money to invest in books and my authors should feel as if both are well spent.
